What is Sitagliptin?

Sitagliptin is a DPP-4 inhibitor that enhances the body's own incretin hormones to improve blood sugar control with low risk of hypoglycemia.

How it works

It blocks the DPP-4 enzyme that breaks down GLP-1 and GIP, leading to more insulin release after meals and less glucagon when glucose is high.
