What is Rivaroxaban?
Rivaroxaban is a once-daily oral anticoagulant that lowers the risk of harmful blood clots without routine INR testing.
How it works
It directly inhibits factor Xa, reducing thrombin generation and clot formation throughout the body.
Common uses
- Preventing stroke in non-valvular atrial fibrillation
- Treating deep vein thrombosis or pulmonary embolism
- Preventing clots after knee or hip replacement surgery
